Over the past year, HCD has had the opportunity to use a powerful tool, SYMLOG, to look at team dynamics in a number of high-profile multinational and local companies.
The SYMLOG™ tool gave team leaders and members alike insight into individual work preferences and team member dynamics. Based on the work of Harvard psychologist Robert Bales, the SYMLOG™ system identifies specific individual behaviors that contribute (or detract) from team effectiveness. This allows individuals to acknowledge and address specific areas rather than attempting wholesale transformation. The system also gives leaders insight into potential clichés and alliances.
