Cathy Johnson


Cathy’s experience and her enthusiasm for professional growth result in an inventive approach to content design and delivery that produces results. She is passionate about creating development solutions that lead to measurable behavior and attitude changes in the workplace. Clarifying objectives and business goals, Cathy develops not only learning solutions but support solutions that serve to improve the likelihood of long-term behavior change. In order to increase
learning transfer and behavior change, Cathy uses a range of experiential approaches and facilitates programs in a way
that maximizes learning and fun, while inviting participants to make shifts toward a focus on excellence.

Cathy’s 25 years of international corporate experience has deepened her understanding of and ability to connect with
executives from range of industries, functional roles and experience levels within an organization. She is experienced in
the design and delivery of leadership development programs covering such areas as performance management, the
development of high performing teams, project management, cross-cultural issues, coaching, interviewing and effective

In developing her abilities to design solutions based on interactive learning strategies, Cathy has studied under the
internationally recognized expert in active learning, Dr. Sivasailam “Thiagi” Thiagarajan. She completed the Design of
Games, Activities and Simulations course of the North American Simulation and Gaming Association (NASAGA) and is
certified in Thiagi’s Interactive Learning Strategies Program.

Prior to entering the field of organizational development and instructional design, Cathy headed the marketing
department of Global Sources (NASDAQ: GSOL), a leading business-to-business (B2B) media company and a primary
facilitator of two-way trade with Greater China. She successfully trained and coached teams while gaining experience in
eCommerce, project management, IT functional areas and trade magazine publishing. Before that Cathy developed
extensive cross-functional training programs designed to engage employees, improve operating results and increase
retention, and spent five years in management consulting in the energy industry, focused on organization development.

Cathy moved to Singapore 11 years ago. She has assisted organizations
throughout Asia and worked with people with a wide variety of experience,
education levels, functional expertise, backgrounds and cultures, from Hong
Kong, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, China, Vietnam, Australia and
New Zealand.
Cathy has a Master of Business Administration degree from the
Keenan-Flagler School of Business of the University of North Carolina at
Chapel Hill. She also has MBTI and Firo-B accreditations.
